May 1, 2012 Meeting Minutes

Adult Announcements:

• 5/3/12 – National Day of Prayer – 6:15am – Southeast Christian Church
• 5/10/12 – Next Round Table – 6:30pm – REI will be at the meeting to discuss backpacking
• 5/13/12 – Mother’s Day – Handing out carnations at the Farmers Market
• 5/20/12 – Solar Eclipse – Only one for 18 years, no bare eyes, thinking about doing a Troop Picnic, more to come on this…
• 5/25 – 5/28/12 – Vedauvoo – Family Camp Out – Rock climbing – See Mr. Krey and Mr. Bender for more information
• Make sure you are on the Troop 88 email list
• Mr. Bender is selling Troop Class B stuff – check it out!
• 2013 Jamboree – go to www.bsajamboree.org to get registered
• Tahosa for Summer Camp – guaranteed to be a lot of fun – Cope Course (Rope Course) – 13 years and older – $250
• Vedauvoo – Family Camp Out
• NEW MEDICAL FORMS!!!!! All scouts and parents MUST complete the new medical forms for ALL camps (for example – PV and Tahosa)

Scout Announcements:

• 5/3/12 – National Day of Prayer – Need Color guard at Southeast Christian Church at 6:30am – Will get Breakfast! Alex E. will send out an email with more information
• 5/4 – 5/6/12 and 5/11 – 5/13/12 Coney Parties at PV; OA sign up!
• 5/4 – 5/6/12 – New Scout Campout near Castlewood Canyon
• Ron B. is selling baked goods for his Eagle Project – check it out – they are good!
• Lost scarf at Scout Show (no woggle) – claim it if it is yours
• No scarves at meetings right now (except if you are doing Flags and have a Board of Review or Scoutmaster Conference)
• JLT (Junior Leadership Training) next Tuesday
• NO CAMPFIRES/BURING IN PARKER!
