National Jamboree began on July 20th – good luck to Mr. Ski and all the scouts that went

Renaissance Festival – if you would like to go contact Mrs. Moncier

Mrs. Hawkins thanks every scout for behaving like scouts at the Zoo trip – they were very impressed

First Aid Merit Badge will be Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

July 27th is a regular troop meeting.

Cherry Valley Scouts will return on July 10th
Troop 88 made $2000 on glow sticks sales from the Fireworks Show!
If any scouts have any questions regarding how many camping days you have, please see one of the scoutmasters
Scouts at PV Summer Camp earned a ton of merit badges – AWESOME
Troop elections -September 7th – Encourage scouts to run
August 9th – return to school
No meeting on July 13th – committee meeting only.

May 27th – please try to come to the Parker Senior center to assist taking down pics

May 28-31: Vedauwoo WY Memorial Day family camp-out and climbing merit badge; see e-mail from Mr. Krey for all attachments you will need to bring.

Merit Badges at summer camp: please bring blue cards, worksheets, merit badge books on the badge(s) you will be working on and have prerequisites completed

Saturday, June 12th Parker Days Parade

Mr. Ski is turning 55 on Thursday!!

July 4th – We will sell the Glow in the dark necklaces and bracelets.

SCOUTS AND PARENTS:
This Is Serious
On Wednesday last week Mr. Skalisky and Mr. Miller had to meet with the administration at PEPC to explain why the Troop left PEPC a TOTAL DISASTER last week!!!!! Luckily, the Troop was not kicked out of PEPC YET, but it still could be kicked out if this ever happens again! ALL Troop 88 Scouts and Parents should stay after meetings and clean up to make sure this never happens again.

Nov. 10th – Committee Meeting – No Scouts (unless you are completing the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge with Mrs. Woodruff)

Nov. 14th – Hammond Candy Factory Tour – A leader is needed for this event.
Nov. 14th – Valley District Merit Badge College – $15.00 sign-up online

Nov. 17th – Regular Meeting – Antarctica Program with Mr. Johnston (Service Patrol-Predator, Skit/Song – Lizard/Sandcrawlers?, Game – Fox)

Nov. 21st – Turkey Bowl Football Game

Nov. 22nd – Wesley D. Eagle Court of Honor – 4:00 – 6:00 at PEPC

11-12th ITOLS Training for Adults

12th – Mountain Bike Day CANCELLED

Court of Honor
When            Sun,  September 13,  1pm – 6pm
Where           Mr. Albee’s House (map)
Description    12662 N 2nd St Parker CO. 303.841-8990 Pig Roast and Court of Honor Full Dress Uniform Tentative Agenda Bring: Chairs,  Silverware, Plates & Cups, Napkins and Beverage Lemonade and Water will be served (Small tables if you have them) Side Dishes to serve 8, Camera and Sun Screen
12:00 Set – Up
1:00 Food Service
2:30 – Ceremony  Begins – Flag Ceremony – Court of Honor – Flag Retirement – Closing
4:00 Clean-Up

14th – Town Hall Flag Ceremony @ 6:30
Need At Least 6 Boys or More for flag ceremony. If you are working on  your citizenship in the community merit badge this is an excellent  event to attend for sign off on attending an official town meeting.

15th – Regular Meeting
Service – Predators, Skit/Song – F&I Dragons, Game – Bats

18-19th – Camporee Training & Planning (Mr. Buchart heading it up, at  Mr. Lutz’s house)

22nd – Campfire Meeting (Mr. Ski)

24-27th Camporee (Mr. Bender)

29th – No Troop Fun Night, Haunted House!!!! We will be working on construction of the haunted house on Tuesday,  29th. More details will be given out during meetings.

Other
We will now resume wearing Neckerchiefs as a troop.

NOTICE:
PLC meetings will now be held on the FIRST Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 6:25
Committee Meetings (Parents ONLY) will still be held the Second Tuesday of Every month in the Garage.

UNIFORMS:
-Class A w/ Scarf must be worn to meetings
-APPROVED pants Attire: Blue Jeans, Khakis, Scout pants, Jean shorts, Khaki shorts, or Scout Shorts – NO Bermuda shorts or sweat pants.
-HATS: Hats are to be worn PROPERLY!!! ***BOY SCOUT HATS ONLY INSIDE THE CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!***
(Each violation of Class A will be 10 push-ups (without good reason) and 20 push ups for a missing scarf (Without good reason))
ADDED: If you take off somebody else’s scarf, it will result in 20 Push-ups, too.
