MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!
Troop 88 has been asked to participate in the Annual Parker Christmas Carriage Parade!
The event will be Saturday, Dec. 8 at 12 p.m. We will meet between 11:15pm – 1:45pm at corner of Mainstreet and Pine Lane (by the PACE Center).
We’ll be carrying the banners in front of winning Horse Participants.
This is a fun event and a great honor that the town asks us each year to participate. Please mark you calendars and plan to attend.
Call Mrs. Moncier for questions, 720-756-6872 or 720-851-8280

Hey guys here are all the meeting minutes, including the ones from the PLC (they were the same)
Ears of Fear! The first week of haunting starts this Friday and Saturday and continues every weekend all through the month. It is from 7 to 10pm and we are not haunting on Halloween this year.
Some patrols still need to tell Andy their Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader.
Oct. 7, Collect Coats for Colorado; there is a patch that you can earn by collecting in your neighborhood and collecting at a center for 3 hours. For more info call them at 303-872-7777 or see Derek Anderson.
PLEASE see Mrs. Law and pick up awards from the Fall Court of Honor. No troop time will be taken to hand them out.
Last minute reminder for popcorn- order forms are available and are due Oct. 13; you can get popcorn from Mrs. Hoaglin. See her for more info.
Cherry Valley at Catalina Island, $200 installment due by the 16th of October; the actual campout is July 21-27, 2013.
Mr. Edwards talked to us about First Aid.
Wreath sales are all month, additional opportunities to sell are available October 21 and 28 at PEPC. See Mrs. Jackson for order forms and their due the 30th.
We had a guest, Kenny, his dad drives the Mystery Machine.
There is no meeting on the 16th of October.
YIS,
Jack T.
Here are all of the announcements from the meeting:
Mrs. Law has some awards and merit badges left from the Fall Court of Honor so everyone that didn’t get theirs you should go and get them.
We’ll be selling Christmas wreathes again this year. We are scheduled to sell before PEPC church services on October 21 & 28, 2 or 3 scouts are needed for this, you will be able to get catalogs on October 2 and they will be due the 30th.
The SPL has asked that from now on you should arrive at 6:25 so the meetings can start at 6:30 and the can end at 8:00.
Colton B’s Eagle Court of Honor is this Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 4 – 6 PM. Don’t miss it!
Mrs. Moncier is looking for Troop Guides. If you are at least 1st Class and want to help, please contact her. This is a one year position to help the new Scouts.
The Pioneer Trails Round Table is next week Thursday, October 4, 2012. The OA also meets the same night. The meetings start at 7 PM. The meetings are at the LDS church near Ponderosa High School.
There is a Haunted Maze practice this Saturday, September 29 from 9 AM – 12 PM. We still need actors. Talk to Mrs. Palmore or Mr. Krey. We will haunt the maze each Friday and Saturday night in October from 7 – 10 PM. The last Sunday of October will also be a Haunt night. We won’t haunt on Halloween.
Congrats to The Pirate Patrol for being awesome at Camporee! They came in second place out of 5000 scouts from all over Denver! They also came in first place on the balance board, after almost breaking it, and breaking the record by doing the balance board in about 2 minutes. Way to go guys!
Mayor Casiano visited with the troop tonight. He talked to the troop about how we serve our government and are an important part of the community. For all Scouts who have not met with a local leader, this was one of your requirements and you can have that signed off in your books. It is 1st Class requirement 5. ;-)
Mr. Ski reminded everyone that just like mom’s don’t wear white after Labor Day, Scouts wear Purple Neckerchiefs after the Fall Court of Honor. If you don’t have one, can’t find one, lost the one you had, then talk to the adults at the table about getting a new one.
YIS,
Jack T

** Why did the donkey go to the bank?
** He needed to “burrow” some money.
Don’t blame me for the joke! It came out of Boys Life just like the ones Mr. Ski told us tonight.
